The Village of Dysart is located in the R.M. of Lipton #217. The survey for the Village was done in 1904 and the Incorporation of the village took place on April 6, 1909.
The Village was named after Dysart, Fifeshire, Scotland when the Canadian Pacific Railway line was constructed.  
The recently resurfaced highway #22 provides the village with easy flow of people and goods.
